Q. What differs Shamrock Homes from other manufactured
home builders?
Answer...
Because Shamrock is a small, family-owned company we do not build
40-50 floors per week like other manufacturers. Instead Shamrock
builds between 5-7 floors a week, allowing us to make custom changes
and use specialty items that would slow down other manufacturers.
When designing a house we ask ourselves what we would want if
this was our home. Therefore we add ice and water shield on the
roof, a sprinkler system in the furnace room, and the highest
quality products on the market. We make these "stick-built"
features standard in every Shamrock Home we build. Plus, because
we build fewer houses then others we take the time to carefully
inspect each home to make sure it complies with not only building
codes but our own high quality standards.
Q. How long will it take to get my house after I place
my order with a builder?
Answer...
Actual production time is 3 weeks but depends on the complexity
of the house, shipping availibiilty and site prepartion. Please
contact us for a
more exact estimate with your specific conditions. Modular homes
require state approval, therefore delivery time is state dependent.
Q. Can I order directly from Shamrock Homes?
Answer...
No, Shamrock Homes has a wonderful group of builders
we distribute houses through in over 15 states from Missouri to
the east coast. Though we can not sell direct, we will be happy
to work with you to answer any questions or help design the perfect
home for your lot.
Q. What safety features will my Shamrock Home have?
Answer...
Deadbolt locks come standard on all homes. A sprinkler
system is installed in the furnace and water heater compartments.
The smoke detectors are hard wired and have battery backup. Each
plumbing fixture has an independent water shutoff. Exterior lights
next to each outside door. Anti-scald faucets are standard in
modular series homes and optional in all homes. We can implement
almost any special safety feature request.

Q.
What are the basic differences between a H.U.D. (Department of
Housing and Urban Development) sectional and a state code modular?
Answer...
H.U.D. sectionals are built on a steel frame that must stay permanently
attached to the house. A H.U.D. sectional can be put on private
land or into a manufactured housing community. H.U.D. houses are
complete with furnace; water heater, ductwork and flexible P.E.X.
water lines. H.U.D. is a national building code that sets standards
that each house must comply with.
State code modulars are built on carriers that transport the home
to site and then the carriers are returned back to Shamrock. Modulars
are typically put on basements foundation on private property.
Shamrock modulars are standard without furnace, ductwork, water
heater or finished plumbing. Shamrock’s builder installs
the furnace, water heater and ductwork in the basement on-site,
they also finish the copper plumbing drops on-site. Modulars are
built to state code based on your residence..
